Adaptive sole The core of Thunder GTX WNS is its innovative Adaptive Hero System (AHS)* technology, devised by Zamberlan's R&D team, which allows the sole to minimise negative impacts with the ground by absorption and adaptation, offering advanced cushioning and perfect ground adaptation. In Thunder GTX WNS, the wedge is formed by two layers of low-density EVA between which a TPU insert is inserted. In this way, the soft microporous upper layer gives the foot a cushioning effect when walking, while the midsole provides maximum stability, lightness and anti-torsion control. Named after one of the most iconic climbing places, it was created for via ferrata and technical approach, but its extreme comfort and versatility make it perfect for trekking and hiking. The unique height, called "up-cut", combines the freedom of a low shoe with the protection of a mid shoe. The fit is wrapping and precise thanks to the inclusion of elastic materials and an innovative construction with “to toe” lacing. The upper, in embossed suede leather, is protected by a 360° rand  to increase the protectionagainst rocks and stones.
