These boots are the ideal choice for expeditions that require excellent thermal insulation and sensitivity. These mountaineering boots guarantee dry feet and top comfort regardless of the external weather conditions thanks to the best technical innovations including the double GORE-TEX technology: GORE-TEX Insulated Comfort lining and a GORE-TEX performance comfort tongue. This model has been certified by the CIMAC institute for temperatures up to -20°C (in a static environment), but the mountaineer can brave colder temperatures up to -30°C while moving. The high gaiter and the YKK zip provide a further barrier against water and snow, which together with a Cordura® and Microfibre upper, make these men’s boots very thermally insulated. Also, the double intensity PU wedge offers good shock absorbency and lightness that together with a carbon fibre Zamberlan® insole and a the new Vibram® Penia outsole offer a better grip. Another enviable feature is the rubber protective rand that protects the boots against scratches and lacerations. The 4000 EIGER EVO GTX RR mountaineering boots are compatible with step-in crampons.
